The story of Smith Bros. Wilson began in the then-booming town of Greenwood, BC, where in 1897, Alexander and Donald Smith joined with a Mr. Travis to form Smith Bros. and Travis Company.

The new company had plenty of work, building houses, churches, business blocks and mine buildings for the rapidly growing town. Shortly after, Travis left the company, but the three Smiths continued to expand their operation.

Today Smith Bros. and Wilson is a much different company from the one formed in Greenwood in 1897. Techniques and equipment have changed to meet the requirements of modern times. But the current operators hold true to the basic philosophy set down by the Founders that of providing the best possible service to meet the client's needs.
